Resolution in “Play in Snow” ceremonial celebration
We, organizers of this ceremony,
declare followings:
No economical,
cultural, national or political considerations have
preference over children’s interest, and maintaining a
happy, creative and secure life must be enforced in
state’s agenda immediately!
1-
Prohibition of child labour under
16 years of age.
2-
Children’s nourishing should be
maintained outside of family’s financial situation. In
school and daycare enough food must get to children
freely.
3-
High standard and free medical
care for all children.
4-
Free and compulsory education for
all children.
5-
Suitable and high standard of
housing for all
6-
Equipped, modern, and free
daycare should be maintained for all.
7-
Children with no guardian must be
undertaken by state. Housing, life opportunities and
education should be maintained with high international
standard.
8-
Providing suitable opportunities
for cultural, artistic and sport activities.
9-
Especial care for pregnant women
and infants in nourishing and medical care with no
respect of family situation.
10- Immigrant children especially
Afghan immigrant ones should be enjoying of proper
housing, medical care, enough nourishing and education.
11- Worthy humane life for
physically and mentally disable children should be
maintained
12- Especial material and moral
support for single guardian families especially for
single mothers.
13- Firm and lawful confrontation
with child trafficking and trade.
14- Prohibition of child
imprisonment. Elimination of Capital Punishment.
15- Prohibition of any physically and
spiritually aggression against children.
16- Prohibition of physical
punishment, exercising mental pressure and intimidation
against children.
17- Elimination of any discrimination
between girls and boys.
18- Heavy and effective punishment
against child kidnapping and trafficking and trade.
19- Children need no atomic bomb and
any warmongering and militarism can put their life in
great danger.
Magnificent ceremonies of Snow Man Celebration Festival
International Campaign
for Children Children’s Rights, “Children First Now” (CFN)
greets all organizers of this festival.
Today as 2007-01-15, the
city of Marivan was witnessing magnificent ceremonies of
Snow Man Festival Celebration in defense of child’s
rights. In front of Zaribar Hotel near Zaribar Lake on
the side of Marivan, more than two thousands people
participated in the ceremonies.
The ceremonies area
was decorated with placards in defense of child’s
rights. Large and red placards were visible on white
snow surface from far away to attract people to this
joyful gathering.
A resolution in
defense of child’s rights was read out and was approved
by participants. The copies of resolutions were
distributed among all. These ceremonies were held by
effort of child’s rights activists of city of Marivan
and co-operation of some primary school teachers and day
cares.
These magnificent ceremonies and
its resolution’s claims indicated that society emphasis
on child’s rights and express great unsatisfactory for
children’s conditions in the society. The child’s
rights activists were able to take considerable part of
society attention to focused on children’s rights and
keeping alive the hope of a free and joyful world for
children in the society.

Magnificent celebration “Play in Snow” in defense of
children’s Rights
Friday Jan 19- 2007, in Sanandaj,
“Play in Snow” celebration were organized by invitation
of a group of children’s rights activist defender.
Thousands of people participated in this celebration.
Sediq Karimi is one of children’s rights activist
defender who read out the 19 paragraphs resolution and
faced with huge sensational welcome by participants in
this celebration.
These celebrations in defense of
children’s rights have become now a matured mass
tradition in different cities in Kurdistan. Four days
ago, similar celebration was organized in Marivan. More
is coming in other cities as well. Organizing of
such a celebration in different cities is manifestation
of humanist and freedom movement of people which is
getting fast momentum and becoming more powerful by
daily basis. Sensational mass participation in these
ceremonies, happy atmosphere with respect and interest
towards children, different activities that are provided
for children and approval of humanistic resolutions are
representing a progressive movement that say NO to
poverty, inequality, and injustice and does not see the
existing world suitable especially for children.
Substance and claims in these
resolutions indicate characteristics of these humanistic
and freedom movement. Movement for a world that child is
not forced to work, is not homeless, is fed properly,
has free medical care and education, no discrimination
between kids from immigrant and none-immigrant families,
no child left alone without guardian, no child
trafficking and trade or prison, torture and execution
would be firmly prohibited. Discrimination between girls
and boys disappears. In one of paragraph in this
resolution has clearly said: “Children need no
atomic bomb and any warmongering and militarism can put
children life in great danger”. These claims are
just a part of wide range of people’s demand that are
harassed by poverty and injustice and take any advantage
to express their disgust and aversion towards this
situation and also show a firm determination for a
fundamental change.

those who participated with great enthusiasm and hope
for a happier world for children in this celebration.

Festival Ceremonies Resolution in Marivan
We declare no economical, cultural, national
and political consideration has preference over child’s interest. We
demand to maintain a happy, secure and genuine life for children all
over the world. We do not spare any effort for this goal and
happiness of our children. This Festival is overfilled by joy and
content for our children.
Hand in hand with joy and
happiness, they become one voice. Families, elderly and young,
children and teenagers have come to witness our dear ones’ play and
cherishing in groups.
One day, away from any
discrimination, children’s world and dreams become one. We have come
to be heard that children’s rights have to be met. Children need
support and they need a better life to be made by us.
We, participants of this festival,
declare our claims as follows:
1- Prohibition against professional work for children
under 18 years of age.
2- Maintaining free health care for all children.
3- Free education and high standard housing for all
children.
4- Providing Housing, comfort and opportunities for
homeless children.
5- Maintain a decent humane life for physically and
mentally handicapped children.
6- Decisive and lawful confrontation with any child
abusing or aggression in all over the world
7- Elimination of any discrimination between girls and
boys
8- Exercising with firm punishment against any child
kidnapping, trafficking and trade
9- Prohibition against physical punishment or any
mental pressure and humiliation on children.
10- Providing free, modern and equipped local daycares
for children
11- Children deserve a world full of pleasure, purity
and happiness protected from any type of violence.
12- Recognizing our children’s rights and to create a
happy and safe world for them.
